Jeren Hogben – Principal/Producer
When we decided to re-model the Musical Theatre classes at Jaykays Dance Company and turn them into a Youth Theatre Company I was both excited and apprehensive. We have never produced a show just for our Musical Theatre students before, so it has been a learning curve! It has been a joy to watch Fran in her creative zone as Director, and moreover to watch the students rise to the challenge. It is very clear that the students have all enjoyed the experience and have had so much fun with Aladdin. I wish the cast & team the very best of luck. I am so proud of you all.
Fran Newitt – Director/Co-Choreographer
I’ve been involved in ‘Pantoland’ for more years than I care to admit, so when Jeren put forward the idea of The Theatre Parade Company, it was a no-brainer for a Pantomime to be our 1st full musical production. The students, both new and old, have fully embraced the panto genre and have been absolutely brilliant during rehearsals.
Their talent, commitment, energy, and focus have blown us all away and I want to wish them so much Love & Luck for their performances of Aladdin.
Lucy King- Deputy Stage Manager/co-choreographer
I have been working alongside Fran to choreograph and bring the show together and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone that has been a part of the theatre parade’s first production. The students have showcased their amazing talents, and they have all worked so hard. They should all be so proud of themselves. I wish everyone performing all the best of luck and I hope they have so much fun in the shows!
Ellie Green – Mini Ensemble Choreographer
I am the musical theatre teacher for the mini-ensemble. I have loved teaching the minis their role as the little street rats, it’s been so wonderful seeing their confidence grow in rehearsals and the awe on their faces when watching the big children rehearse. Best of luck to everyone involved in this fantastic panto but especially my minis as it’ll be the first time some of them have ever performed on stage! Break a leg!
Sam Goode – Teaching Assistant
I have been the teacher assistant for the Theatre Parade and have been involved in things on stage and things behind the scenes. I have loved seeing the show come together and watched how much the children have grown since the beginning. It’s really going to be a fantastic show!
