We’re proud to announce that we have successfully gained recognised school status with the Council for Dance Drama and Musical Theater for the sixth year! The CDMT’s recognised awards are a set of industry-designed standards for part-time performing arts schools and teachers committed to upholding safe and professional standards of practice. The awards enable students and parents/carers to make informed choices about the schools and teachers they wish to study with.

 The awards confirm that schools and teachers appreciate the importance of:

• Adhering to appropriate professional policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
• Holding valid DBS certificates and adequate insurance.
• Following the scheme’s code of professional conduct and practice.
• Having appropriate levels of relevant teaching qualifications and/or professional experience.

 Being recognised by professional bodies such as the CDMT is something that is so important to us at Jaykays. Being recognised isn’t something that happens overnight; it is the result of years of training, experience and evidence that we follow a rigorous framework set out by organisations such as the CDMT and the IDTA.

 We’re incredibly proud that all of our teaching team are DBS checked, fully insured and have first aid and safeguarding training. The CDMT are just one of the dance industry organisations that Jaykays are a part of; these include:
