Hello & Welcome

Welcome to the Upper School’s production of “Thunderstruck,” a one-hour showcase that will blow you away! After observing classes over the past couple of months, and watching the off-site rehearsal last weekend, I am truly amazed at the talent we have at Jaykays Dance Company. Watching most of these students take their first dancing steps in our Little Rascals dance and movement programme and transforming into strong, technical and passionate young dancers is something that will never get old!

I am delighted to be spending my Mother’s Day with these 65 young people. They make me proud every day by making positive choices to learn, grow and commit. At a time when teenagers get a lot of bad press, our upper school students at Jaykays Dance Company are choosing to put the screens down, show up, work hard and nurture their bodies and minds. 

Thank you to our amazing teaching team who work with the upper school – Beth, Connor, Olivia, Fran and Lucy. Thank you for caring and pushing our students to be the best they can be. Thank you for being more than just a dance teacher. I am so proud of you all. 

Thank you to you, our parents and families. I more than anymore understand the commitment involved in getting your children to class, and the sacrifices made to give them this opportunity. Together we are building confidence, passion, loyalty, dedication and resilience. Skills to last a lifetime.

And because it is Mother’s Day if I could give my children Heidi & Elliot three things it would be the confidence to always know their self-worth, the strength to chase their dreams, and the ability to know how truly loved they are.
