Welcome to Jaykays Dance Company

Hello and welcome to Jaykays Dance Company. We are a busy and expanding dance school based in Leamington Spa, established in 2006. The school offers children and young people classes in IDTA ballet, tap, contemporary modern, freestyle, acro dance, contemporary, musical theatre and LAMDA.

Our teaching team is made up of members of the International Dance Teacher’s Association (I.D.T.A.) which is one of the world’s largest examination boards offering students the opportunity to take graded and vocational Ofqual recognised examinations. Our teaching team are also certified with the following programmes:

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)

iD Contemporary

National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD)

Groove Aerobics 

We are a Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT) recognised school, an external body ensuring that we are delivering quality and safe dance practice. We are also a recognised “safe studio” with Dance School Safeguarding Services, with all of our teaching team holding current safeguarding training. All teachers are in possession of a DBS certificate and are First Aid trained. Principal Jeren Hogben is the designated safeguarding leader and Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England.

At Jaykays Dance Company we aim to deliver creative dance classes in a caring and encouraging environment, nurturing the individual needs and talent of each and every dancer. Dance classes at Jaykays Dance Company start with enjoyment, turns into passion that then creates progress and success.

Children can do as little or as much as they want within reason. There are opportunities to perform in our annual school production at The Royal Spa Centre and our in-house awards day, compete in dance festivals, take graded examinations and perform at local events. We also run an annual summer school, deliver after school clubs and nursery classes and host dance parties with our JKDC Party Movers team!

Getting Started

We offer one free trial at JKDC to try before you buy. Following your trial you will need to complete a registration form. Once we have your form we can add you as a customer onto our system. You will then receive a fee and enrolment confirmation email that details what your monthly fee will be, the class your child is enrolled in, and a link to activate your GoCardless account. 

Fees are calculated over 39 weeks and divided into equal monthly payments to help to keep costs lower for you. A new starter will be calculated in the same way but in accordance to your starting date. 

We believe that we are much more than just a dance school with so much value included in classes that goes over and above dance tuition. 

Classes run term-time only and we follow the Warwickshire County Council academic calendar
